Seminole Lacrosse clinic welcomes UVa

With roughly 150 kids in attendance from age four to 13, the Seminole Lacrosse Clinic welcomed Virginia assistant coach Marc Van Arsdale on the fourth night of its 24th annual lacrosse seminar. Van Arsdale spoke to the young crowd about the differences in lacrosse since he first started playing and also explained how the group could better their lacrosse experiences.

For the Cavaliers, getting involved with Seminole lacrosse is a chance to give back to a community that loves its lacrosse.

“When you have kids at ages like five and six, you basically hoping to instill just one or two basic fundamentals, but more than that, a love and a passion for the sport,” Van Arsdale said. “That’s the strength of this program. Rodney Rullman and Al Sadtler do this thing in such a great manner.”

The camp works with children from a wide rage of ages and skill levels. A handful of coaches work with the aspiring players on basic stick skills as well as more complex lacrosse moves.
