The Jefferson District golf tournament was held Monday at Lake of the Woods in Orange and Charlottesville came out victorious, with the Black Knights carding a 320 to edge out Albemarle’s 325 by five strokes.
Zach Russell led the way for the Black Knights with a 77 to earn medalist honors while teammate Banks Northington put together a round of 79 to tie for second with Albemarle’s Jack Robbins. A.J. Stouffer’s 81 and Emmy Timberlake’s 83 rounded out the Black Knights’ scoring.
Louisa County put together a third place finish at 353 with Ryan Fleshman’s 81 and Christian Wenger’s 84 setting the pace for the Lions. Orange County took fourth and Powhatan finished fifth while Western Albemarle finished sixth, Fluvanna seventh and Monticello eighth.
