The Jefferson Distict swimming and diving championship wrapped up Saturday as the diving portion of the event was held at Crow pool.
Western Albemarle’s Alex Poletti took first place for the girls. Sarah Nave and Heather Stephenson gave William Monroe second and third place respectively.
For the boys, Orange County’s Robert Edwards won the top spot. Fluvanna County’s Devon Stribling came in second. Monroe’s Michael Cummings was the third place finisher.
The swimming portion of the event was held on Friday at Fork Union with the Warriors and Hornets going one-two for the boys. Western’s girls took first place overall while Charlottesville took second.
