Western Albemarle boys baseball exploded past Colonial Beach on the road Saturday, rolling 12-1 to move to 3-0 on the season.
Jack Maynard continued to do the heavy lifting on the mound for the Warriors as he picked up his third win and second complete game. Maynard struck out 11 and didn’t surrender a single walk.
Dylan Weiss, Steve Mangrum, Henry Kreienbaum and Logan Ebanks all had multiple hits for the Warriors. Mangrum had four RBI with a double, a single and a hit-by-pitch. After a slow start to the season with regards to the volume of games, Western will jump into the heart of their season in a big way with a three-game week that starts Tuesday at home against Orange County.
