St. Anne’s-Belfield’s volleyball team made short work of St. Margaret’s Tuesday night with a 3-0 victory. The win pushed the Saints to a 10-5 record on the season.
STAB rolled 25-12, 25-14 and 25-6 in the victory.
Balanced offense got the job done as four Saints tied for the team lead in kills with five each, but Lainey Wood’s work at the service line was particularly explosive as she rang up 13 aces on the night. Wood, C.J. Brown, Dom Betoni and Sierra Tisdelle each had five kills while LaRissa Rogers checked in with four of her own. Margaret Giles’ 18 assists set the pace for the Saints while Brown and Betoni’s five digs tied for the team lead.
The Saints wrap up the week with a Thursday game at home against Covenant and a clash with St. Gertrude Friday on the road.
