Monticello is on track now going into the Jefferson District quarterfinals, rolling 4-0 Wednesday night against Louisa County.
As per usual, Victoria Scott shut down the Lions with her work in the circle, striking out 18 while surrendering a walk and two hits over seven innings. Scott also went 2 for 3 at the plate.
The Mustangs also got a big night from Kaitlyn Bodine, who went 2 for 3.
Monticello (18-1, 13-1 Jefferson District) takes on Charlottesville High Friday at 5 p.m.
