Although they did not meet this season, in the previous two seasons the Madison County and Buckingham County basketball teams gave fans some of the best post-season basketball in the area with the Knights knocking the Mountaineers out of the Region B tournament in 2008 and Madison returning the favor in 2009. Now in the VHSCA game, they’ll meet again.
Playing for the East in the basketball game on Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. in Hampton Roads are Madison’s Jerel Carter and Logan Terrell and Buckingham’s Taylor Boyers. The three players will be joined by their respective coaches, Ben Breeden and Russ Gown who each netted positions on the East staff.
