Normally a nine inning contest, the Virginia High School Coaches Association All-Star softball game needed one more frame to decide the contest. The East All-Stars, which included a trio of Central Virginia athletes prevailed in the end, 3-2.
Monticello’s Victoria Scott fanned nine batters and did not surrender any runs during her time in the circle. Buckingham County’s Jovannah Taylor caught a handful of innings. Fluvanna County’s Kaitlin Driver was part of a 3-5-2-4 double play.
