Maurice Taylor has picked up right where the Buckingham tailback left off last year.
The Knights’ senior ball-carrier dominated Friday night in a 47-13 victory against Prince Edward High, ripping off 253 yards and four touchdowns on just 18 carries.
Taylor got a little help from junior quarterback Tarian Ayers, who threw for 130 yards on 7-for-12 passing. Ayers also tossed a pair of touchdown passes to Antonn Briley and Caleb White in the Knights’ romp.
By halftime, Buckingham was up 34-0.
The Knights now face Fluvanna County next week in a battle of neighboring county high schools.
