All four of the runs in the game came in the first inning, and with Buckingham getting three of those four on a pair of hits from Chelsie Shoemaker and McKenzie Crump, that was all that Knights pitcher Libby Morris wound up needing.
Behind another double-digit strikeout showing in the circle, Morris led Buckingham to a 3-1 win over Prince Edward.
Morris fanned 13 batters and surrendered only three hits on the night in the victory.
The Knights (4-0) play the Lady Patriots on Thursday in Richmond at 4 p.m.
