Buckingham softball rolls past Amelia

Buckingham County picked up a much welcome James River win by knocking off Amelia 9-4 on Tuesday.

The Knights got an outstanding all-around performance from Libby Morris in both the circle and batters box. Morris picked up the complete game win and struck out 14 batters while giving up just four hits. She also went 3 for 3 at the plate and hit a pair of home runs to put together a 7-RBI evening.

Also for Buckingham, MacKenzie Crump was 3 for 3 with two runs scored. Sierra Coleman was 1 for 1 with an RBI.

The Knights (10-4, 4-2) head to Cumberland on Thursday at 5 p.m.
