Buckingham blows past Cumberland

Buckingham and Cumberland is a heated, longstanding rivalry, but the Knights didn’t have to struggle much Friday in the clash’s latest installment. Buckingham rolled 67-7 over their archrivals and moved to 6-3 on the season.

Kenneth Johnson, as usual, did the bulk of the damage with a 219-yard, 5-touchdown performance, but John Edwards also got in on the act with 104 yards and two touchdowns on just seven carries. Matrice Foster rushed for 58 yards and a pair of touchdowns on just three carries. As a team, the Knights averaged 12.3 yards per carry and 10 total touchdowns.

The Knights will wrap up the regular season with a road trip to Prince Edward next week before beginning postseason play.
