Blue Ridge’s boys basketball team made short work of Carlisle Thursday night in the VIC semifinals, rolling 102-55 over Carlisle.
Seven different players reached double figures in the win, with Babacar Diagne leading the way with 16 points. Aamir Simms posted a double double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Darius McGhee scored 13 points, dished out four assists and pulling down four rebounds. Sardaar Calhoun scored 12 points and snagged four boards while point guard Josh Colon scored 11 points, grabbed five rebounds and dished out four assists.
Jaden Frazier and Marcus Valeiras each scored 10 points to round out the Barons in double figures.
The victory vaults the Barons into the VIC championship game against rival Miller who beat Virginia Episcopal 70-64 Thursday in the other semifinal. The Mavericks and Barons will lock up at 7 p.m. Saturday at Roanoke College.
