Albemarle girls tennis dispatches another CD opponent

For the second time this week, the Albemarle girls tennis team blanked a Commonwealth District opponent. This time, it was North Stafford who suffered a 9-0 loss to the Patriots.

Megan Napolitano returned to the lineup for Albemarle after missing the season opener against Brooke Point. The junior had little trouble with her opponent, taking the match 10-0. Abby Lesnoff, Eva Ng and Ivy Haines also won their matches 10-0.

In doubles, Napolitano and teammate Tori Kuhn swept their opponents 10-0. So too did Haines and Elise Lord. The closest match of the day came in the third doubles match where Maddi McCullough and Summer Caton were able to win their contest by taking the last five points against Amy Caradang and Amanda Pulzone to make it a clean sweep for the Patriots.
