Albemarle’s baseball team built a little momentum last week with a win over Riverbend, but the Patriots couldn’t keep it going early this week.
Albemarle fell 4-1 to Brooke Point.
The Patriots’ Cody Chisholm was one for three with a double while Rashad Talley was one for two with a walk and a stolen base. Geran Steljes pitched a complete game and struck out three while surrendering four runs.
For Brooke Point, Evan Houde pitched six strong innings for the win. He only gave up four hits all night to the Patriots. Chris Denno pitched the seventh and got the save.
