Albemarle baseball beat Stafford Wednesday night 6-3 in a battle of former Commonwealth District foes.
The Patriots stepped out of their new home in the Jefferson District for the night and got a brilliant performance from Nick Parsons on the mound. Parsons struck out five for his first varsity victory while not giving up a single walk in an efficient complete game effort.
Ty Pittman and D.G. Archer provided a big dose of offense with three hits a piece on the night.
Albemarle has a quick turnaround as they face Louisa Thursday at 6 p.m. in a game moved up from Friday due to impending weather that night.
