Jackson’s quadruple double sends Louisa County to region semifinals

Sylvie Jackson got going Friday night in the Region 4D quarterfinals and there truly wasn’t much Halifax could do to even slow her down.

Jackson notched a quadruple double and helped spark Louisa to a 75-34 victory over Halifax.

The win puts the Lions just one victory away from a state tournament berth.

Jackson went 11-for-20 from the field en route to 29 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists and 11 steals on the night. Jackson had a triple double earlier this year against Albemarle and has posted 10 double doubles this season.

Jackson had help too against the Comets as Janie Smith posted her 17th double double of the season with 18 points and 10 rebounds while also rejecting six shots. Smith is averaging 13.1 points and 12.7 boards per game.

Ella Jackson finished with 17 points and six rebounds. Savoi Smith dished out four assists and Nicole Creel had three steals.

The Lions will take on Salem at home in the Region 4D semifinals Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m.
