Covenant girls lacrosse kept things rolling Monday night.

The Eagles beat Fredericksburg Academy 14-8 to win their third straight after narrowly dropping their season opener.

Delaney Poindexter gave the offense a jolt and filled up the entire stat sheet, scoring eight goals on just 12 shots while also dishing out three assists. The eighth grade captain also scooped up five ground balls and forced six turnovers, leading the Eagles in both those categories.

Reese Dalton also had a huge night for Covenant, finishing with four goals and four forced turnovers. Lina Touririne and Jenna Gilliam finished off the offensive scoring with on goal each, and Touririne also had four caused turnovers. Margaret-Ann Graves also had two assists.

Keeper Katy Varaksa notched 13 saves on the day.
