Thanks to a strong effort from senior Miles Lesko, William Monroe golf knocked off Madison County in a rivalry clash Tuesday at Greene Hills Country Club 152-168.
Lesko carded a 70 to lead the Dragons while Shane Coleman posted a 74 and Parker Woolford put together a 78. Hayden Gibson’s 80 rounded out the Dragons’ winning effort.
Gaines Swink set the pace for the Mountaineers with a 72 while Jackson Taylor scored an 84, Holden White had an 88 and Chase Ryder finished with a 96.
William Monroe will try and keep the momentum going when they host Albemarle Monday while the Mountaineers will look to bounce back on the road against Clarke Thursday.
