Western Albemarle girls tennis wins Conference 29 title

Western Albemarle’s girls tennis team won its third-straight Conference 29 championship Thursday afternoon on the indoor courts at the Boar’s Head.

The Warriors beat Spotswood 5-0, sweeping doubles and closing things out with victories from Rosy Ix and Maddy Ix in singles.

The Warriors now advance to the Region 3A West tournament.
