Fluvanna County girls basketball came out of the locker room after halftime Monday on a mission.

The Flucos reeled off a decisive 20-2 third quarter run against the Black Knights to help cement a 66-42 road victory behind a balanced offensive effort.

Aniah Webb and Alana Carter-Johnston each scored 18 points for the Flucos while Abby Seal chipped in 10 points. Ikeena Spruill added eight points.

That’s the fifth straight win for the Flucos since they went on the road on February 17th and beat Western Albemarle in Crozet and firms up Fluvanna’s hold on second place in the Jefferson District race.

Charlottesville had a pair of double digit scorers with Eva Floyd scoring 14 and Elaina Pierce notching 10 points.

The Flucos will square off with state power Spotswood Thursday before a rematch with Louisa County – the only district team the Flucos have lost to – Friday while the Black Knights will host Monticello High Friday night at 7:30 p.m.
