Croby’s Monticello High Athlete of the Month: Ukari Brooks

Monticello’s Ukari Brooks is a slasher. He’s a shooter. He’s a scorer.

The Mustangs’ senior guard is one of the area’s best at going out and putting points on the board for his squad, and he’s off to a tremendous start in his final season for Monticello.

Brooks is averaging 18.9 points per game, and he’s become a regular threat to score more than 20 points any given night against any opponent.

In a crucial 67-64 victory over Louisa County in overtime, Brooks scored all 13 of the Mustangs’ points in the extra period, carrying Monticello to the win.

That explosive start to the season for a player that was a first team All-Jefferson District pick a year ago is why he’s the Croby’s Urban Viddles Monticello High December Athlete of the month.
