Covenant’s boys and girls cross country teams swept the team titles Tuesday at the Covenant Invitational, winning the meet they host with a big boost from a pair of individual champions.

The Eagles held off Miller and Blue Ridge who finished second and third respectively with three total top 10 finishes by the Eagles,  with Chase Carson in second about 30 seconds behind Rapp. Bryce Willetts took eighth overall and Justin Bryan in 14th and Adam Dillard in 20th rounded out the effort.

For Blue Ridge, Adam Maisano led the way as a sophomore as the Barons took third while Taku Endo also finished in the top 10 for Blue Ridge with a sixth place clocking. Evan Close set the pace for second place Miller in fifth, while Tyler Morris was fourth place Hargrave’s top runner with a 10th place finish overall.
