Basketball Roundup 2.4.17: STAB boys win, Fluvanna girls win in double OT

St. Anne’s-Belfield boys 79, Christchurch 57

Jayden Nixon led STAB with 17 points, seven assists, six rebounds two blocks and two steals. Myles Ward had 11 points and four rebounds. Isaiah Kilby-Sharp had seven points and eight rebounds. Nick Reese had 12 points, three steals and four rebounds for Saints.

 

Fluvanna County girls 74, Powhatan 65 (Double OT)

The Fluvanna County girls needed double overtime to pick up a win in the Flucos’ regular season finale, edging Powhatan behind 20 points from Nevaeh Ivory and 16 from Jemika Johnson.

Powhatan hit a buzzer beater at the end of regulation to force overtime while Ivory hit a runner with two seconds left to force the second overtime.

Kiya Scott had a team-high six rebounds. Jules Shepherd had three steals.

 

Woodberry Forest 66, Fork Union 54

Woodberry’s Calder Clay had 29 points for the Tigers, who are 4-12 overall.

 

Goochland boys 54, Maggie Walker 45

Goochland boys beat Maggie Walker 54-45 with Jack Twombly scoring 22 points and pulling down 10 rebounds while Darius Harwood had 12 and Quincy Snead had 11.

 

Buckingham 69, Prince Edward 61

Buckingham’s boys beat Prince Edward 69-61. Antonio Chambers scored 24 points for the Knights to lead the way while freshman Trevor Kelly had 18 points off the bench. A.J.Johnson had 10 points and six assists. Brycen Newby chipped in 10 rebounds.
