Albemarle’s golf team went on the road to Greene Hills Monday and knocked off William Monroe 156-167.
The Patriots got a strong effort from their top players Jack Bruns and Cooper Ezell, who each carded 74s to tie for medalist honors. Robert Brozey followed with a 78 and Decker McKean notched an 86 to wrap up the Patriots’ top four.
Monroe’s Shane Coleman and Hayden Gibson each finished with 82s for the Dragons, with Miles Lesko putting together an 84 and Grant Woodson finishing with an 86.
Albemarle will host Fluvanna Wednesday while the Dragons welcome Brentsville to Greene Hills for a home match.
