Woodberry ground game pounds Collegiate

Coming off of a big time win against rival Fork Union last week, Woodberry Forest remained perfect on the year by beating host Collegiate, 41-13.

Before piling on 21 third quarter points, the Tigers built up a seven point lead in the first half. Ade Oyalowo and Ed Reynolds put together a handful of big plays on the ground to drive the Woodberry offense. Oyalowo had three touchdown runs of 19-yards or more, including a 30-yard scamper in the first quarter and 58-yard run to cap the scoring blitz in the third quarter. Reynolds scored Woodberry’s only touchdown in the second quarter with a 70-yard run.

Oyalowo finished the game with 195 yards on 18 carries while Reynolds wasn’t far behind with 152 yards on 13 attempts.

The Tigers (4-0) will be back at home next week when they host Landon at 2 p.m.
