Western stays unbeaten with victory over Monroe

Though he may have only completed four passes in the game, he sure made them count in Western Albemarle’s 40-3 road victory over William Monroe.

Warriors quarterback Steven Schuler has thrown multiple touchdown passes in every game he’s played this season and four of his eight passing attempts went for scores against the Greene Dragons. Schuler’s three scoring strikes included a 34-yard pass to Tyler Ward, a 42-yard pass to Nick Kuzjak and finally a 56-yard completion to Dom Losco.

Cody Davis had a pair of rushing touchdowns for Western on five attempts for 43 yards while teammate Adam Diehl accumulated 67 yards on the ground on his seven tries.

For Monroe, Mitchell Morris and Logan Forloines each had at least 50 yards rushing. Morris put up 59 yards on 11 attempts while Forloines tallied 54 yards on 13 carries.
