To the best of our understanding, here’s a rundown of the playoff fates for local teams.
Louisa County (10-0) is projected to be the No. 3 seed in Region 4B and host Courtland. The Lions beat Courtland earlier this year 41-7.
Albemarle (5-5) is projected to be the No. 6 seed in Region 5D and travel to No. 3 Harrisonburg.
Orange County (5-5) is projected to be the No. 8 seed in Region 5D and travel to No. 1 Brooke Point.
Goochland (10-0) is projected to be the No. 1 seed in Region 2A and host a first round playoff game.
Charlottesville (7-3) is projected to be in the Region 4D field. Opponent currently unknown.
Monticello (8-2) is projected to be the No. 3 seed in Region 3C and host Waynesboro.
Western Albemarle (2-8) is in the mix to be the No. 8 seed in Region 3C and travel to Heritage Lynchburg, but they await the result of today’s Collegiate/St. Chris game and potentially tiebreakers.
Covenant awaits Saturday results and a vote but should finish as the No. 2 seed in VISAA’s Division II points system. They’re likely to be the No. 2 or 3 after voting and play Norfolk Christian.
Blue Ridge plays Benedictine today but is currently seeded No. 1 in VISAA’s Division II.
