Miller’s Mychal Parker grew up near little Washington, N.C., but he’ll take his game slightly north of a much bigger Washington in 2010.
Parker, a four-star small forward who played last season at Maryland and was heavily recruited by a number of ACC schools plans to take his 6-foot-6 frame to Maryland to play under Gary Williams after giving the Terps a verbal commitment.
Parker, who helped lead Miller to a Division II VISSA state title as a junior, was a key target for former UVa coach Dave Leitao, but was less of a focus for new Cavalier coach Tony Bennett.
