Monticello girls lacrosse picked up a 17-9 victory over James Monroe to stay unbeaten Wednesday night.
Senior Paige McGlothlin poured in eight goals and notched an assist to power the Mustangs (3-0), with Caleigh Smith also getting in on the act with a hat trick and four assists. Meghan Walin scored four goals while April Carter scored a goal and an assist, Mattie Lee had one goal and Josie Mallory dished out one assist.
Monticello keeper Lindsay Gunsallus led the Mustangs with a career-high 12 saves.
The Mustangs jump into spring break now and will return to action April 10 against Charlottesville.
