Apparently late in her senior year, Fluvanna County’s K-anna Loyd isn’t messing around. Not that she hasn’t had a huge impact before, but Loyd has emerged this year as a multi-faceted, unpredictable star.
The most compelling evidence? A near-quadruple double against Orange County Thursday night in a 59-45 victory.
Loyd had 17 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists and eight steals in a dominating performance for the Flucos.
Her sister Mia Loyd wasn’t slacking off either, pouring in 20 points and 10 rebounds.
The Flucos jumped ahead early with their press fueling an early offensive onslaught, but Orange got back into it behind Jasmine Johnson’s hard-nosed defensive play.
Sarah Ryan helped round out the Flucos’ efforts with eight points, eight rebounds and a pair of blocks.
Fluvanna is slated to take on Charlottesville Saturday night, weather permitting.
