Hornets rumble past King George in field hockey

Orange County’s field hockey team smashed King George 8-0 Friday afternoon and now the Hornets can turn their attention to avenging an early season loss.

Lauren Seal led Orange with four goals, while Carrie Jacobs, Naomi Hynes, Kayla Hooper and Keeley Jones chipped in with a goal each.

The Hornets also spread the assists around, with four players, including Hooper, coming up with one each.

Orange takes on Kettle Run on Tuesday at home, and the Hornets are taking on the Cougars with something to prove.

“That’s the only game we’ve lost, so we’re looking to redeem ourselves,” said Orange coach Tricia Grabeel.

The Hornets lost 2-1 to Kettle Run in the season opener back on August 26th.
