Covenant’s girls basketball team kept its positive momentum going Tuesday night by knocking off Tandem 52-37 on senior night.
The Eagles got a big time performance from beyond the arc from Kelly Crispens, who hit six of nine 3-pointers for her 18 points. Margot Leibl anchored Covenant down low with a double double of 10 points and 10 rebounds, and the post player even knocked down a 3-pointer of her own.
Gabby Mirabelli had eight points, eight assists and three steals, helping power Covenant to a 13-point halftime lead. Emily Smethurst finished with seven points, including a pair of 3-pointers. Covenant had nine total 3-pointers.
Hattie Nguyen led Tandem with 11 points.
Covenant takes on St. Gertrude’s next Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
