Covenant’s girls basketball team clamped down in the second half and pulled away for a blowout 50-22 win over Roanoke Catholic Thursday night on the road.
The Eagles got a stat-sheet filling night from Makayla Hargrove with 12 points, eight steals, four rebounds and two assists while Kerrigan Poindexter posted 12 points, four steals, three assists and four boards. Delaney Poindexter did a lot of the little things too, with four steals, three assists and three rebounds to go with four points.
Katy Varaksa had seven points and four boards and Aida Touririne had six points and three breounds. Cece Corbey chipped in five points and three assists while Margaret Ann Graves had four points.
