Buckingham boys cruise past Randolph-Henry

With three players reaching double-figures, the Buckingham boys were able to take down host Randolph-Henry on Tuesday night, 67-50.

The Knights jumped on the Statesmen early, going up by 12 points in the first quarter before building a 20-point lead at the half. Randolph-Henry cut into the lead in the third quarter by outscoring Buckingham by 12 points, but Buckingham snapped out of their scoring drought in the final frame to put away the Statesmen for good.

Taylor Boyers led the way for Buckingham with 17 points and 15 rebounds. Teammate Kevin Bolden also had a double-double with 14 points and 12 boards. B.J. Jones put up 11 points and snagged three steals.

The Knights (8-1) heads to Fluvanna County today at 7:30 p.m.
