It seems like every night, Buckingham has a different player putting together a fierce effort. Wednesday B.J. Jones led the Knights past Fluvanna with his crisp passing and Friday, Tarian Ayers got it done with a monster scoring effort to spark Buckingham over Lunenburg Central, 80-63.
Ayers, who went 9-for-11 from the field, poured in 22 points and hauled in eight rebounds in the victory. Taylor Boyers also played solid with a double double of 16 points and 16 rebounds while also coming up with a pair of blocks. The senior is averaging over 17 points and 13 boards per contest.
Jones wasn’t bad himself with six assists and just three turnovers.
