Albemarle boys soccer edged out Powhatan 1-0 Thursday night on the road.
The Patriots got first half goals from Daniel Starr and Brandon Mahon in the win while keeper Thomas Leckrone got help from defender Logan White to hold the Indians scoreless.
The Patriots now turn their attention to a clash with rival Western Albemarle at home Monday night at 7 p.m.
